PRIVACY NOTICE
Simple play. Very little data.
TypeCub is designed so a child can play without creating an account or sharing personal information. This notice explains what happens when a family uses the site.
Information TypeCub does not ask for
The game does not ask a child for a name, age, birthday, email address, photograph, voice recording, precise location, school, or contact list. It has no chat, public profile, advertising, or social sharing.
Progress stored on the device
Completed stickers, the selected word world, difficulty, and sound preferences are stored in the browser’s local storage. TypeCub does not receive this progress. Clearing browser data can remove it.
Sound and speech
TypeCub uses the browser’s speech-synthesis feature to speak words and letter names. The game never requests microphone access and does not record a child’s voice. Available voices and their processing are controlled by the browser and device.
Website delivery
Like other websites, TypeCub’s hosting and security providers may process limited technical information, such as an IP address, browser type, requested page, and request time, to deliver and protect the service. TypeCub does not use that information to build advertising profiles or follow children across websites.
Aggregate website measurement
TypeCub may use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand overall visits, popular pages, referring websites, and site performance. This measurement does not use advertising cookies, create child profiles, record typed words or keys, or follow visitors across websites. TypeCub uses only these combined website totals to improve the service.
Optional support from grown-ups
If a grown-up chooses to support TypeCub, Stripe processes the adult’s payment and contact details under Stripe’s privacy notice. TypeCub does not receive full card details. The support link is optional and is not part of the child’s game.
Changes and questions
This notice is effective September 13, 2026. It will be updated before TypeCub begins collecting any new category of information. Questions can be sent to [email protected].
